Where Are We in 2026
Honestly, how has the first third of 2026 escaped us so quickly? January seemed to last forever, yet February and March passed in the blink of an eye. Before we know it, we'll be preparing for Christmas in July.
For the last few months we have been exploring more travel options, and welcomed Debbie North to our pages. Debbie is passionate about creating a countryside without barriers. She is founder of Access the Dales, a charity which breaks down the barriers that prevent people with limited mobility enjoying the great outdoors, either independently or with their friends and family. 
Since becoming a wheelchair user, Debbie has campaigned tirelessly to break down barriers in all aspects of promoting accessibility for all. She is a motivational speaker, a consultant, presenter and writer and is a Get Outside Champion for Ordnance Survey and an ambassador for Ramblers UK. She was appointed by the Cabinet Office as Disability and Access Ambassador for the Countryside. Debbie has recently supported the Countryside Code team at Natural England by creating a new resource, autism friendly versions of the Countryside Code. We will be featuring a selection of Debbie's travel adventure over the summer, alongside our own local UK escapes and overseas adventures.
We have been diving into drinks this month - everything from water to wine. It seems the Ready To Drink (RTD) market is making waves, with healthy choices pushing sugary options aside. We have been exploring the benefits of matcha, an ingredient I personally have avoided at all costs after a bad introduction in the past. However, never say never, so I took the plunge at IFE2026 and tried a few RTD options. It was quite a surprise to find I didn't dislike matcha when it was of a high grade and prepared properly.
For Summer food we will explore more cuisine flavours - an exciting mouthfeel and flavour experience over calorie content and trending ingredients. This should lead to a selection of different recipes which we are looking forward to creating.
