About Us
The Early Years
Founded in 2010 as Your Source Today, the online magazine was launched to support and accompany the print copy of The Source, which was distributed quarterly across London and the South East as an insert with The Sunday Observer (2010/2011). Kokova Magazine now promotes producers through content and competitions. We rebranded post-covid after losing the original domain name, and are sharing all the original content now under Kokova Magazine.
"We share the products we love, the food we eat, the places we go, and countries we see. Enjoying the journey, not just the destination, since 2010."
Where We Are Today
Having worked on this website for over a decade, it was difficult to change direction but now we are moving on as Kokova Magazine, focusing on the things we have discovered over the years and want to share online. This means a more intimate and personal approach where we strive to give honest, unbiased views and reviews across all our channels, and share our discovery of new, exciting products, producers, and places to visit.
Meet the Team
Susan Sheen - Susan is driven by a passion, and loves to talk. One half of an odd couple, with Andy being the more sensible other.
"I am definitely an over-sharer. I love discovering new products, startups and independent producers. And lately I have found a new passion - travel. When I am not here (at Kokova Magazine) I am organising chocolate events and art exhibitions. I can't imagine retirement while there is still so much to see, do and share."
Kokova Magazine is my outlet for sharing. I started with it in 2010 and I am still here today - with more drive and passion than ever. Andy and I are an odd couple but after 16 years together we still enjoy visiting new places, finding new products, and sharing.
Andy Dalton
Technical Director, Andy oversees the website improvements. And makes Susan do the same. Together we fix the 'bugs' to ensure the Kokova Magazine website runs smoothly and is available to visitors daily. Andy shares a passion for good food and takes great delight in sourcing new leads for the team to follow up on. When it comes to fine wines and spirits, Andy is the connoisseur. He shares the same ideals when it comes to sourcing everyday meals, and prefers to shop around at local producers to ensure the quality of the food on his plate meets his expectations.
Food Editor & Recipe Maker
Sarah is the driving force behind our movement towards fresh home-cooked food, and meal planning. From an early age, Sarah questioned where the food on her plate came from and set out to find more information on ethically sourced goods and gentler farming practices. This meant she could follow a balanced diet while staying true to her feelings on animal welfare and crop production. Sarah has the gift of being able to taste a recipe, then know exactly what it needs to bring out the best in the overall flavour of the meal.
