October is Choctober - as the nation celebrates chocolate week again this year. Chocolate Week, voted the nations favourite themed week, a celebration of fine chocolate taking place from 10th-16th October.

Taste Cumbria Food Festival Triumph

Over 20,000 food lovers headed to Cockermouth last weekend for the second annual Taste Cumbria Food Festival. The streets of the picturesque Western Lake District town swelled with visitors from both in and out of the county as they came together to enjoy two days of food-related family events and activities.

World Arthritis Day

World Arthritis Day was established in 1996 by Arthritis and Rheumatism International (ARi) and is celebrated each year on 12 October. It provides an opportunity for people with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs) from around the world to join together to make their voices heard.

From flip-flop walkers to fell walkers, The National Trust wants everyone to take a step in the right direction this autumn half term. The Trust is holding its first ever Festival of Walking from October 22nd-30th with more than 1,000 events to help people get outdoors and closer to nature.
