Taste Festivals have announced a partnership with Jamie Oliver to raise awareness and funds for his charity.
Last weekend's Taste of Christmas event (2-4 December) not only entertained over 30,000 festive revellers but also welcomed Jamie Oliver into the fold as an exciting collaboration between London-based Taste Festivals and The Jamie Oliver Foundation was announced.
The plan involves a UK-based fundraising campaign at Taste Festivals for the next 12 months; this will include special events, pop-up restaurants and special guest appearances from Jamie and friends.
Announcing the collaboration, which will take place at Taste of London and The Big Feastival and perhaps further afield, Jamie commented, "It's brilliant for Taste to support us and raise vital funds for the Foundation."
Commenting for Taste Festivals, Justin Clarke, Managing Director said, "Jamie's Foundation is one of the world’s most inspiring food charities and we plan to raise awareness and hundreds of thousands of pounds supporting him."
Jamie Oliver was speaking at the opening of Taste of Christmas at ExCeL London at which his Big Feastival restaurant was a centre piece from Friday 2nd until Sunday 4th December.
