World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) is on Monday 2nd April and there are loads of ways you can show your support. There are over 500,000 people with autism in the UK - that's 1 in 100. Together with their families, that's over two million people whose lives are touched by autism every single day.
This April, to mark Bowel Cancer Awareness Month national charity Bowel Cancer UK is encouraging men and women across the UK to increase their awareness of the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer and to act on their concerns, sooner rather than later.
In 1839 a horse called Lottery won the first Grand National and Captain Becher parted company with his horse at a now famous brook to signify the start of a British sporting institution. The Grand National 14th April is a race synonymous with Red Rum, a horse who captured the nation's hearts.
