With a selection of coconut products in pre-launch, AmourCoco are ready to take on the growing market for cleaner, healthier choices with their range of whole-use drinks and sauces. We caught up with their founder and CEO to find out more.

"I grew up in Sri Lanka, where coconuts were more than just an ingredient. They were a way of life. In our backyard, I watched my father climb tall coconut trees with a quiet strength, bringing down the fruit that would nourish our family in countless ways. Inside our home, my mother - an incredible cook - transformed those coconuts into meals made with love, feeding not only our family but anyone who walked through our doors.Coconut sambal was made almost daily; vibrant and full of flavor.

There was coconut puttu in the mornings, coconut toffee and sweets prepared for special moments, and coconut oil carefully used for our hair and skin. Nothing went to waste - every part of the coconut had a purpose, even its husk which helped clean and care for our home. And of course, coconut water was a daily ritual - pure, refreshing, and deeply nourishing.

In the early 2000s during a time of war my journey brought me to the UK. Like many others, I carried pieces of home with me; memories, traditions, and the values my parents instilled in me. Those experiences shaped who I am today.

AmourCoco is my way of honoring that heritage. It's more than a brand. It is a reflection of my roots, my culture, and the strength I've built along the way. As a young ethnic woman in the UK, I wanted to create something that not only shares the natural goodness of coconut but also inspires and empowers other young women, especially those from similar backgrounds, to believe in their stories, their strength, and their ability to build something of their own.
