With GuilFest fast approaching we take a look at Avondale45, a hard working and passionate three-piece punk / garage band, based in and around the Portsmouth and Chichester area, who will be gracing the Vive Le Rock stage on Saturday 14th July 2012. Together Al (vocals and guitar), Joe (drums) and Colin (bass and Vox) have written and recorded "In A Garage", an 11-track no frills album, in an extended/converted garage, in just 36 hours - recorded the way it should be - RAW, DIRTY AND STRIPPED BACK!

After a summer break, Love Food Festival returns to the National Trust's Dyrham Park on Sunday 30th September, from 10am - 4pm (free entry). London bakery owner Emily Johnson has been crowned National Cupcake Champion 2012 in the annual search to find Britain's best cupcake baker. Emily, who owns the Upsy Daisy bakery and tea room in Hammersmith, West London, beat off stiff competition from 55 other professional bakers to take the prestigious title at the championships, which are staged by British Baker magazine.

As part of Love British Food 2012, the campaign being run by British Food Fortnight this summer, Family Feasts are being organised in Sure Start centres and care homes across the country as part of the London 2012 Festival, the spectacular 12-week nationwide celebration running from 21st June until 9th September 2012.
