Taking place on Thursday 5th June, the all-day event (8am-8pm) will see local business workers, residents, shoppers and visitors to Christopher's Place pedalling to the virtual finish line in a cycle race as part of One Great Day’s major fund raising activity. Teams of three will each be required to ride two miles - the distance between Great Ormond Street Hospital and St Christopher's Place - on static bikes, kindly donated by Fitness First on Baker Street.
Brighton's renowned Indian Summer restaurant is to host a Masquerade Charity Ball in aid of Eastern Indian Palliative Care (EIPC), an organisation which supports patients and families with life threatening conditions. The evening on Saturday 26th July features music from the EPIC 80s band, 'the south coast's finest '80s tribute band', Indian Summer street food, cocktail bar, ice cream stall, masked photos, charity auction and raffle. The event promises to have some amazing auction and raffle prizes
During our recent visit to Margate we were delighted to dine at a couple of great restaurants the local area had to offer, as well as pay a visit to the Powell-Cotton Museum at Quex Park. These are the very places that will help to put Thanet back on the map.
