Ambrette to Host 'War on Waste' Charity Dinners

The award-winning Ambrette restaurants in Margate and Rye, hope to draw attention to the enormous amounts of edible food we waste in Britain, through two charity dinners. Chef Patron Dev Biswal will create a gourmet six-course tasting menu using ingredients commonly discarded by restaurants, supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers and domestic kitchens - with proceeds donated to provide humanitarian aid in South Sudan via the Red Cross.

Sham 69 to Head Vive Le Rock Punk Stage at GuilFest 2014

GuilFest organisers are delighted to announce that Sham 69, with their original line-up featuring the founding members of the band, legendary Jimmy Pursey, Dave Parsons and Dave Tregunna, will be headlining The Vive Le Rock Punk Stage on Friday 18th July 2014. Sham 69 are quite simply one of the most famous punk bands of all time, producing a stream of hits during the golden era of punk including 'Hurry Up Harry', 'Angels with Dirty Faces' and 'If The Kids are United'.

Witness the UK's Most Ambitious Cake Installation at the Cake & Bake Show Manchester

CakeBomb, a new collective of 17 top cake artists from around the UK, are working together to create 'Welcome to the Jungle' at the Cake & Bake Show Manchester (4 - 6 April 2014) - a life-size edible Indian jungle made entirely out of cake, sugarcraft, cookies and chocolate. The CakeBomb team has spent over 6,000 hours on the installation, which features life-size pieces of incredible detail and accuracy.
