The new Livfooddrink Show is set to take place at the Liverpool Echo Arena and Conference Centre on 5th and 6th May 2013. British chocolatiers led the way in the filled chocolate categories of the World Finals of the International Chocolate Awards earlier this month, with the likes of Paul a Young and Damian Allsop beating off stiff competition from top chocolatiers from around the world. The International Chocolate Awards World Final featured the best of the best from the fine chocolate industry. Over 600 products were entered into the country rounds held in Italy, the UK, the USA and Vancouver throughout the year.
Durham City Food Festival has been declared a great success, attracting over 20,000 visitors to Durham city centre and sparking the busiest weekend for city centre retailers so far this year. Organised by Durham Markets in partnership with Durham University, Durham City's second annual Food Festival took place on 27th-28th October 2012, bringing together regional, national and international food producers for a celebration of quality food and drink in a beautiful and historic environment.
