Today The Source website is celebrating its first birthday and what a year it has been! Last December saw chaos across the UK - with the coldest temperatures ever recorded; schools closing and airports coming to a standstill - and amidst all of that came the launch of The Source website. Over the year we have had the pleasure of working with industry experts, including The Soil Association, WWF and the UNEP; enabling us to bring you an insight into the many different aspects of food production and farming methods, deforestation, endangered species, organic farming, conserving energy and tips on how you can help save the planet at home.

Whether you are excitedly getting ready to dress up and party - or setting the scene at home for some 'trick or treats' - and even if you have opted for a quiet night in - we would like to wish everyone A Happy Halloween from The Source team.

It is hard to believe it is September already. The summer has flown by and now we start to look towards the next seasons holidays. We have some great give aways this month to lighten the mood as Autumn rolls in - bringing with it darker nights and colder days. Fingers crossed for an Indian summer...

Oh what a busy month it has been in The Source offices - and it just gets busier and better. We have so many new competitions coming up so to make sure you don't miss out - head over to our Twitter and Facebook pages and see what we are giving away now.

Here in the office we are very happy to be heading into the weekend, as today sees the start of Guilfest 2011 and we are looking forward to a great weekend of music. Wherever you are don't forget to check our 'Out & About' page for events near you. Have a great weekend :-)
