Food Safety Week starts today (6 to 12 June) and the Food Standards Agency is exposing some of the most commonly held myths that continue to put us at risk of food poisoning. The Agency asked more than 2000 people whether they thought a range of statements about food safety were true or false – from the truth about ‘use by’ dates to the infamous ‘five second rule’ for food dropped on the floor.
